The German Garden

Site provided by
The AVS Group

The German garden is a sustainable landscape designed to provide year round interest in a natural setting. The summer gardens of southern Germany are colored with hydrangea, roses, and fruit bearing shrubs, similar to Wisconsin. The Rock Garden is designed to simulate a dry, alpine mountain slope. It features tough, alpine plants and dwarf conifers that thrive under dry conditions. One of the delightful features of the German Garden is the Gemietlecheit Square, with it’s stone fountain, where visitors can rest and enjoy the view of the other gardens. The other unique feature of the German Garden is the large handmade pergola, which provides a structure for vines and hanging baskets.
